I built Shuck for my graduate film by the same name. Inspired by the folktales of Black Shuck from East Anglia and Church Grims from both England and Scandinavia, Shuck had to have the potential to look both sinister and approachable. Made with a wood and twisted wire armature, padded out with upholstery foam, formed with sports under-wrap and finished with flocking and brushed out wool run through with hair gel, he is the most detailed and rewarding puppet I've made so far.

I also went through a lot of tests for Shuck, including multiple head sculpts, experimenting with different fabrication techniques and test puppets.
